2026 Torpedoes Coach Staff
I am a Division I swimmer at St. Bonaventure University, where I am also majoring in Finance. I graduated from Apex Friendship High School in 2025 and have been swimming competitively since I was 6 years old. I previously swam for the TAC Titans and have also been involved in summer league swimming since I was 5 years old, giving me years of experience both as a swimmer and around the summer swim team environment. Last year, I also helped coach within summer league programs. I have been teaching swim lessons for the past four years and truly enjoy helping swimmers improve their technique, build confidence in the water, and reach new goals. One of the most rewarding parts of coaching is watching swimmers gain confidence as their strokes improve, and their times begin to drop. I am looking forward to a fun and rewarding season. My name is Christian Marrujo. I am currently studying Computer Science at UNC Chapel Hill. I swam competitively for the Tac Titans for almost 13 years and I was on the Torpedos for almost 7 years. I enjoy being on the club swim team at UNC Chapel Hill where I can continue swimming and competing against other teams. I'm super excited to coach you all and help you strive towards your goals and have fun along the way.
Hello everyone, my name is Claire Galloway! This will be my first year coaching for 12 Oaks and I have been coaching summer league and teaching lessons for 10 years. I am graduating from University of Lynchburg this May with my Doctorate of Physical Therapy. I grew up swimming for New Wave Swimming and swam for Lynchburg too. My favorite stroke is breaststroke! My name is Olivia Dowling, I am completing my junior year at Fuquay Varina High school. I swam for the Clubworx swim team for 3 summers and the Fuquay Varina High school varsity swim team for 1 season. I am the team captain of the girls wrestling team at my High school and run track as well as cross country. I enjoy swimming regularly and often swim in my free time! My name is Tommy Tuescher. I have been swimming for 14 years and was committed to a Division 1 swim team. Due to an injury, I was not able to attend and continue my athletic career at that level. Even though that plan changed, I am now focused on attending App State and majoring in finance and banking. Swimming taught me discipline, hard work, and how to be part of a team. I really enjoy the positive energy that comes from being around a team and watching people push themselves to do their best.
